This afternoon Jill Morris, our Joint Trading Centre Manager had her car stolen.
She drove out of the gates at Staveley Road and left her car running on the driveway, whilst she went to the rear of her car to lock the gate. In those few seconds some opportunist thief jumped into the car and drove it away.
It is a scenario which many of us will recognise when we are leaving our sites. Just be aware of your surroundings and although it may take longer, immobilise your vehicle whilst locking the gate.

Poor Jill. What a dreadful thing to happen. And how unnerving. I hope the police have provided all possible support and that her car will be recovered.
