Artists

Pamela Des Beaux

Pamela Des Beaux expresses her love for what matters in her daily life, portraits of loved ones, friends pets and her love for gardening through organic shapes, vivid bright colours, and unconstrained loose brushwork. A trademark of the fauvism movement

Yvonne Rice-Oxley

Yvonne’s drawing ability is  incredibly rich and varied in style and mediums, her work is delicate with precise lines yet fluid when she changes technique and mediums, particularly oil paint, something she has explored more recently.

Lizzie Drake

In a very short space of time, Lizzie has mastered the accentuation of colour and brushstrokes, unravelling intricate compositions that encourage a closer examination of the subject matter. Her attention is directed towards her family and the produce from her allotment. Her use of oil paint has greatly enhanced her work. Her signature colour scheme is bright, bold hues.

Doe Murray( Dodee)

Dodee was a , free spirited artist and a  story teller, each painting she produced was a segment of a particular event in her life. She had a wonderful ability in combining colours and making them work in a very harmonious way.  Rest in peace Dodee. You will be missed.

Lawrence Stainbank

Lawrence’s work varies in theme, style and medium, experimenting with various compositions and colour combinations. Lawrence’s fascination with the light, shadows and reflections is very prominent in his work.

Pierre Fowell

Pierre  is technically very gifted, he has explored various mediums and techniques over the years. The loose nature of his brush strokes and ability makes him comfortable with any subject matter.

Fiona Porter

Fiona’s ability to capture proportions with assured outlines is her main strength. An illustrative style yet  expressive almost botanical in nature.

Martin Parsley

Martin is a perfectionist by nature, rendering shapes with his precise and immaculate shading gives his work a different outlook, a cross between realism and  the rounded curved shading of  cubism. Similar to that of Fernand Leger.

Peter Isaac

Peter experimented mostly with linear drawings. The fluidity of his lines made a transition to painting very natural, a process he is intent on exploring further.

John Gill

John’s progress as an artist is fascinating, he jumped at the deep end of his artistic journey without any hesitation. Considering he is a new comer. Last year he explored the serious  subject of  global warming with satire.
