RHS Campain For School Gardening

Chiswick Horticultural and Allotment Society are active members of the RHS Campaign and John Gill our Schools coordinator is very active in encouraging schools to get involved in gardening. CHAS supplies schools with all the gardening materials they need to start growing their own produce and John delivers it and gives encouragement to the children..

We were absolutely delighted to hear about the children at The William Hogarth School who have worked very hard over the last year developing their gardening skills. The Royal Horticultural Society has recognized this and the school have been awarded a Certificate of Achievement Level One RHS School Gardening Award.

Along with this Certificate Bailey, Rachel and George were nominated for Young Gardener of the Year 2018 in recognition for their hard work and great learning in the area of gardening and horticulture.

Bailey, Rachel and George have been awarded certificates for their contribution to school gardening. Well done to everyone in this school team effort.

The three are so enthused that they’d love to be given the opportunity to work on allotments, to hear about your horticultural experiences and observations and to help water and weed. We’re currently considering how best this can be arranged.

Fantastic news for the children of William Hogarth School.

They have had many winners in the Chiswick Allotment and Horticultural Society Summer Show. Listed below are the children who will be receiving certificates for their amazing pieces of art work.
