If you’ve never entered a show before, and are wondering whether or not to have a go at the autumn show on 3 September, just go for it!
Although some classes had many entrants (especially the children’s class 59 – coloured picture of a flower which attracted an impressive 29 entries), quite a few had none (9) or only one (5). Although the judges maintain RHS standards (I once got a 3rd prize for a class in which I was the only entry), absolute perfection is not required.
