So you thought Lockdown had struck and that it was all over for the Chas Summer Show. Not on your Nelly, it’s going virtual and you are exhorted to enter photos of exhibits in 58 of the 66 classes listed in the Handbook and on the website (virtual fragrance and taste being a thing of the future, we are unable to include 8 classes).
Every cloud has a silver lining, in this instance it’s the 10-day entry period, allowing you to capture the best of your produce and artistic efforts. If that’s not enough, your produce will be for you to enjoy, avoiding abandonment to a trestle table.
To enter, take snaps at any hour between midnight 18 June and 28 June, complete the online entry form, separately attach photos to an email and send to shows@growchiswick.org before midnight June 28th.
If you prefer, you can post an entry form with photos, to John Gill, 61 St Mary’s Grove W4 3LW. Forms are in the Handbook and available at The Trading Hut.
If you can’t grab an entry form, we will accept an annotated piece of paper. We usually charge entrants 25p for each category entered. On this occasion, it is at the discretion of entrants if they wish to donate 25p per entry. If you would like to do so, please use the “Donate now” button on the CHAS website.
Judging will be concluded by 5th July. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd will be sent virtual certificates and “Cup” winners will be sent virtual certificates. Certificate winners will be listed on the Chas website.
Go on, have a go
