Staveley Road Closure – Effective from the 24th January 2022

This coming Monday is the implementation date

The Council have updated their website https://www.hounslow.gov.uk/info/20053/transport/2171/hounslows_streetspace/12 to enable Staveley Road and Burial Ground allotment holders to apply for a permit to drive along Staveley Road.to get to their plots.

IFYOU DO NOT HAVE A PERMIT YOU WILL RECEIVED A PENALY NOTICE AND FINE.

 The entitlement is for

Those connected with Chiswick Horticultural and Allotment Society (CHAS) – such as tenants of either Staveley Road or Burial Ground allotments; Member of CHAS; official allotment sharers

You will need to provide your name and vehicle registration number.

Proof of connection to CHAS, such as: Copies of an allotment invoice / Allotment agreement / Proof of membership of CHAS

And

Vehicle Registration Document for each vehicle registered.

It is a complicated process which will involve you scanning or photographing your documents and uploading them to the form.

Lampton360 have still not sent out the invoices for 2021/22 but I am advised that you invoice for 2020/21 will as will your tenancy agreement.

For proof of membership of CHAS you will need your 2022 membership card.

I am sure that providing the necessary proof may be difficult for those who do not have the facilities or knowledge on how to upload their documents, but the Council will not make it any easier.

The Trading Centre will be open on Saturday and Sunday 22nd/23rdth January 2022 to give any computer related assistance on the application process. There will not be any Trading on Saturday

There have been problems with the process crashing at the completion of the form. If the files you upload are too large the system just crashes

I got an email saying “This email is to confirm that your application has been successful and your selected vehicle (s) has been added to our exemptions list for Staveley Road.”

  2. Has anybody received their permit yet ,
From Hounslow Council ,commencement date is fast approaching us and without the permit we cannot drive into the allotment as from Monday morning

      Hello Joe,

You will not receive a physical permit.

If you have registered your vehicle with the Council they include it on a white list, which the APNR cameras will ignore.

      1. Thank you Dennis
But for peace of mind ,should they at least confirm to you via your email that you provided to them with your application that you are in fact on their white list to avoid any complication if by chance you are not yet added to such list,
        Very best regards.

          Joe,
After you have filled in and submitted your application you should have received a confirmation email from the Council with a reference number.
If not your application must have been incorrect somewhere.

          Regards
          Dennis

There is a good supply of well rotted seasoned horse manure which is now available at the Wormwood Scrubs Pony Centre. Gardeners will need to sack it up.
The manure is a very environmentally friendly product. It will enrich any soil, encouraging the earth worm population to multiply. It is a must for tomato plants and other vegetables.
